Greenfield. THE TECHNICAL CHALLENGE We build agents on open-weight LLMs that operate web applications through the browser. The people who supervise them are domain experts. They need to see what an agent is doing and why. They take over when the agent pauses before a risky action. They review what it did, step by step, and show it how a task is done. Much of the screen is still arriving or waiting, and every one of those states is designed. Movement on screen tells the person what changed, what is waiting and where they are needed. People use this interface for hours every working day. This role designs it and builds it in code. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Design and build the screens through which people supervise agents: the live view of an agent at work, the moment a person takes over, the step-by-step review, the demonstration • Own the design system and the component library in code: tokens, motion, states, accessibility and reduced motion, documented in Storybook and used across the product • Design every state an interface passes through while an agent works, and make each transition show what changed • Build whole features end to end, server side included, and check them with the people who use them DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • A design system authored and owned in code, with tokens, reusable motion and documentation, that a team built its product on • Interfaces for supervising an automated or autonomous system shipped: what it is doing, why, and how to stop it, in any domain • Interfaces for non-technical expert users shipped, with usability measured and improved on the evidence • Voice interaction designed and built EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS • T-shaped: deep in one domain, with working breadth in a neighbouring one • Structures a large, incompletely specified problem and drives it to a working result independently; designs every state, the exceptions included • Complete web applications built and shipped end to end, server side included, with a component library in Storybook or comparable maintained in production; uses AI coding tools daily and verifies their output • Motion authored rather than taken from a library's defaults, with timing, easing and hierarchy chosen and explained; interfaces shipped in which results arrive while a person watches —— HOW WE WORK • Product engineering: we own what we build and run it in production • Small teams, two-week cycles, working software at every review • AI coding tools are part of the standard workflow WHAT WE OFFER • Founding-team scope • AI-augmented engineering environment • Access to on-premise Nvidia B200s • Flexible work environment PROCESS • Introductory call • Technical conversation • Practical session; the format is agreed with you In coding exercises, AI tools are allowed and expected. Completely greenfield, with a modern tech stack. —— REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED • Clear written and spoken English • 4+ years building web applications in production; strong TypeScript and React or a comparable framework; own product surfaces operated in production, with users • A portfolio or repository of shipped interfaces with design and motion of the candidate's own authorship; builds a small application end to end in days, with AI coding tools • Bachelor's degree in any field, or self-taught with a track record of open-source contributions RELATED TECHNOLOGIES AND CONCEPTS • Front end: TypeScript, React, design tokens, accessibility, Storybook, Tailwind, Radix or React Aria • Motion: Framer Motion, Motion One, GSAP, Rive, Lottie, spring and duration scales • State and transport: WebSockets and WebRTC, XState, Zustand or Jotai • Voice and media: Web Audio, WebRTC audio, speech-to-text and text-to-speech
