Are you interested in an Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 3- 6 month paid System Test Automation Engineer Intern opportunities at our site in San Diego, CA.
Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in medical device software testing, test automation, AI-driven V&V technologies, and system integration within a leading HealthTech company.
Your Role
Work in a fast-paced R&D environment focused on developing innovative healthcare solutions.
Design, develop, and enhance automated test frameworks, software tools, and AI-powered testing solutions.Support the development of AI agents and explore the application of Generative AI and Machine Learning technologies for test automation.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using modern programming languages and tools.Automate system integration and verification procedures to improve test efficiency, quality, and automation coverage.
Execute automated test suites, analyze results, identify issues, and evaluate opportunities to improve testing methodologies and processes.Investigate and troubleshoot software, hardware, and integration issues in collaboration with software developers, systems engineers, and test engineers.
Validate defects and help expedite issue resolution across cross-functional teams.Set up and maintain test environments, including software, hardware, and networking configurations.
Create and execute dry-run tests on engineering builds, support test case development and early defect detection, and provide project updates, technical findings, and status reports to the engineering team and functional manager.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position is Bachelor Level: $29.00 to $36.00 an hour; Masters Level: $33.00 to $46.00 an hour plus overtime eligible.
The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
