Description

This is an exciting new opportunity for an engineer to be part of a pioneering leader in medical technology. As part of the R&D team you would support design, development, testing and optimization of regenerative medical devices. The role has a strong focus on new product development driving prototype development from concept through to verification and supporting technology transfer into manufacturing. About the Role As this is a newly created role for the existing R&D team, they would like the successful candidate to have a high level of drive and initiative, with a mindset of process improvement and innovation. Your experience within engineering will lead you to be the subject matter expert and your experience in NPD will see you planning and executing development projects, executing design verification and validation activities, and collaborating cross functionally with multiple teams including commercial, quality and regulatory teams. About You A minimum of 5 years' work experience in medical device development or biotechnology or advanced manufacturing is expected. Relevant post graduate studies would be highly regarded. Essential skillsets would be - strong technical writing; Hands on experience in biomechanical testing, computational modelling, simulation and data analysis. You will need the ability to take ownership of a defined product development program and demonstrate superior communication and organizational skills to manage external vendors and consultants. This is a high profiled role within the business, so confidence working with senior executives is critical. Experience working in GMP or ISO13485 controlled environments ideal.
