This senior-level position provides technical leadership for the development, operation, and continuous improvement of a Kubernetes-based compute platform within a multi-cloud infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for projects supporting the lifecycle management and evolution of Kubernetes-based compute platforms.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to distributed engineering teams while promoting engineering best practices and technical excellence.
Design and deliver platform enhancements that improve developer experience, operational efficiency, reliability, scalability, and performance.
Manage technical project priorities, dependencies, deadlines, and deliverables to support successful execution.
Contribute to the long-term strategy and evolution of cloud platform infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align technical objectives, project outcomes, and delivery timelines.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve cloud-native compute platform capabilities.
Develop, review, and optimize Kubernetes controllers, admission webhooks, and related platform components.
Advance platform security, orchestration, automation, and developer tooling capabilities.

Qualifications
Relevant education, technical training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, cloud computing, or related technical disciplines.
Minimum of 4 years of experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) capabilities.
Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including developing controllers and admission webhooks.
Strong proficiency in Go (Golang).
Strong understanding of cloud-native infrastructure, DevOps practices, automation, and large-scale production environments.
Demonstrated experience setting technical direction and leading complex projects across multiple engineering teams.
Strong focus on platform efficiency, availability, quality, security, reliability, and developer experience.
Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, mentor, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Ability to work remotely from an approved location.
Publishing Pay Range: $75.00 – $77.20 Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
