Description
Frontend Developer — React + TypeScriptUPrice | Melbourne-based | Available to start now
Build something different.UPrice is a new platform bringing together the creator economy, performance analytics and a market-style user experience.
We’re taking creator data beyond standard analytics and building something people can explore, interact with and follow over time.
We’re looking for an experienced frontend developer to build the web app—someone who can make a data-heavy product feel clean, intuitive and genuinely good to use.
The projectOur FastAPI backend and Postgres ledger system are already in development.
You’ll build the frontend against our OpenAPI/Swagger contract, working alongside the backend developer as endpoints are progressively delivered.
The work covers the application itself: interactive dashboards, charts, tables, user flows and responsive components.
The landing page, hero graphics and marketing visuals are being handled separately.
This is a frontend engagement—not a request to build the backend or redesign our brand.
What you need to bringProduction React + TypeScript experience.
You’ve shipped working applications, not just tutorials, templates or static websites.Experience building against an OpenAPI/Swagger specification.
You’re comfortable scaffolding and mocking interfaces while endpoints are still being built, rather than waiting for a finished API.Strong data-fetching and caching skills.
Experience with TanStack Query or equivalent, particularly for live, chart-heavy dashboards.Demonstrated charting and motion work.
Candlestick or price-history chart integration using TradingView or similar, alongside smooth micro-interactions using Framer Motion or equivalent.
Your portfolio should show this in action.Precision-safe handling of financial data.
Prices and monetary amounts deliberately arrive from our backend as JSON strings, not floats.
You must preserve that precision when handling and displaying them.
This is a non-negotiable part of our API contract.Responsive, production-grade component development.
Tables, cursor-paginated lists and forms, with proper loading, error and empty states—not just the happy path.Useful extrasGood design judgement would be a strong advantage: someone who can take rough direction and produce clean, cohesive layouts without needing a complete design handoff for every screen.
Familiarity with trading or fintech-style interfaces—portfolio views, buy/sell flows and leaderboards—is useful, as is experience deploying to Cloud Run or static hosting.
These are advantages, not essential requirements.
What’s already readyOur brand assets are finalised.
We have a complete logo kit, including vector, colour, inverted and symbol-only versions, plus a defined fintech colour palette with usage ratios.
You’ll receive these on engagement.
We need someone who can turn an existing, locked visual identity into a cohesive UI system—not invent a new brand.
What’s outside your scopeLanding-page design, hero graphics and marketing visuals are separate from this engagement.
Pricing and settlement logic remain entirely in the backend.
The frontend renders the values returned by the API; it does not recreate or independently calculate that logic.
To applyPlease send:
Your portfolio, including at least one live React application or video walkthrough showing real interaction and motion work.
Data-heavy or chart-heavy applications are particularly relevant.A short note on your approach to building against a specification that is approximately 30% complete today, with more endpoints arriving throughout the engagement.Your availability, earliest start date and rate. We’re interested in what you’ve actually built, how you approach an evolving product and the care you put into the user experience.
