Senior DevAx Engineer | Developer Acceleration Are you a Senior Software Engineer who loves making developers more productive? We’re looking for a Senior DevAx Engineer to help shape the tools, platforms and engineering practices that enable development teams to build better software, faster. This is a highly hands-on role sitting at the intersection of software engineering, developer experience, cloud and automation. You’ll work across engineering teams to improve the platforms and tooling they use every day, while staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and modern development practices. What you’ll be doing Help developers become more productive by improving tools, platforms and engineering processesTake ownership of and continually evolve a heavily utilised GitHub platformWork across AWS, GitHub, Backstage and API developmentAssess, introduce and continuously improve new tools and capabilitiesDevelop and maintain high-quality, automated solutionsProvide guidance and hands-on support to engineering teams across projectsHelp teams become more self-sufficient in GitHub and modern development practicesUplift code quality, engineering standards and development practicesWork closely with Application Security, Cloud Platform and Engineering teamsTranslate security requirements into practical tooling and engineering patternsExplore how AI and emerging technology can improve software developmentBuild APIs and integrations and automate AWS environmentsKeep the developer platform modern, reliable and continuously evolving About you You’ll come from a strong software engineering/development background and enjoy solving problems that make other engineers more effective. We're looking for someone who: Has operated at Senior Engineer levelIs a strong hands-on coder — this isn't an infrastructure-only roleHas extensive experience with GitHub and AWSIs highly proficient in Python and TypeScriptHas strong backend/object-oriented development experienceHas experience building APIs and integrationsUnderstands CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practicesHas experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS and CloudFormationHas experience with Docker/containerisationUnderstands RESTful APIs and JSON/XMLCan work effectively with security, cloud and engineering stakeholdersEnjoys mentoring, guiding and sharing knowledge with other engineersIs naturally curious and constantly looking for better ways to do things Why this role?
