The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is seeking a Payments Infrastructure Specialist to join our Technology team on a fixed-term contract through to December 2027.
This role will see you working across some of Australia's most critical payment and settlement platforms, supporting the technology that underpins the secure movement of funds across the financial system.
You'll contribute to the ongoing enhancement, integration and operational support of key payments infrastructure, collaborating with stakeholders across technology and business teams to deliver resilient, high-performing services.
About the role
Support the delivery, integration and ongoing operation of critical payments infrastructure platforms.Contribute to the maintenance, enhancement and optimisation of payments and messaging environments.Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver strategic technology initiatives.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for high-availability payment and settlement services.Investigate and resolve system, connectivity and integration issues across complex technology environments.Identify opportunities for platform improvements, automation and operational efficiencies.Contribute to infrastructure projects spanning Linux, virtualisation, networking and enterprise integration technologies.
About you
Experience supporting payment systems, financial market infrastructure or enterprise integration platforms.Strong understanding of messaging, connectivity and systems integration within complex environments.Experience working with high-availability, business-critical applications and services.Proven analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.Experience administering or supporting Linux-based environments, ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).Knowledge of payment, settlement or real-time transaction processing systems is highly regarded.Exposure to SWIFT technologies, VMware, networking or related infrastructure platforms will be advantageous.
