As a senior or lead DevOps engineer in Security Engineering & Operations, you will help protect Progressive’s information assets by designing, automating, deploying, and supporting enterprise security platforms across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
You will support key data security capabilities, including data loss prevention (DLP), data activity monitoring (DAM), digital certificate management, enterprise PKI, encryption, and key management, while driving automation, technical direction, and operational excellence.
This is a remote position for US-based work only with occasional travel to the Cleveland, OH area for meetings and/or training.
Schedule: 1st shift ET, CT, or MT, Mon – Fri; on-call will be needed occasionally throughout the year.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of four years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.In lieu of degree, minimum of six years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.
Preferred Skills
Proven experience writing and maintaining Terraform.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages, and experience using Ansible, Puppet, or comparable frameworks.Experience with Azure and/or AWS, REST APIs, cloud-native services, serverless technologies, and modern application architectures.Experience building, deploying, monitoring, and supporting enterprise platforms across cloud and hybrid environments.Knowledge of or experience with DLP, DAM, encryption, key management, digital certificate management, enterprise PKI, or secrets management.Proven ability to collaborate with business partners, application teams, architects, vendors, and security stakeholders.Familiarity with Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Search Processing Language (SPL), KQL, and observability practices.
Compensation
$120,000 - $146,900/year depending on position level and experienceGainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% or 40% (depending on position level) of your eligible earnings based on company performance
