Senior Software Engineer

Profusion Group have partnered with a financial services organization in support of their expanding software development & engineering practice. We are currently supporting them with x4 Java/Angular full stack resources. The client is located in Sydney and operate on a hybrid working model, 2-3 days per week will be required in office. They are looking for someone with the following background / experience: Lead the design, development and delivery of scalable cloud-based solutions using Java 17+, Spring Boot and Angular, with a strong focus on performance, reliability and maintainability.Drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and practices (such as Copilot, Claude Code and Gemini), improving developer productivity, software quality and delivery efficiency.Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate emerging technologies, deliver proof-of-concepts and identify opportunities for platform modernisation and continuous improvement.Desirable experience: AWS, Kafka, event-driven architectures, distributed workflows, platform engineering and internal developer platforms.
