Description

Linux Application Administrator, Mid-Level DoD Secret Clearance Required Remote with quarterly travel to AFB in Illinois. Remote — U.S. only, limited to candidates residing in MD, VA, DC, OH, NC, FL, CO, or WV. Candidates must reside and perform their work from one of the listed states. We are currently unable to employ candidates residing in other states. Preferred: CompTIA Security+ and any ERP certs (could be SAP, Informatica, Oracle, etc) We are seeking a mid-level Linux Application Administrator with hands-on experience supporting a large ERP. Our customer is using SAP BusinessObjects, however, any SAP, Informatica, Oracle ERP is fine This role is responsible for deploying, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting applications running on Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of Linux administration or application administration experience, and experience supporting applications in secure and compliance-driven environments. An active U.S. Government Secret Clearance is required. Responsibilities Administer and support Linux-based applications across production and non-production environments.Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade SAP BusinessObjects environments.Manage SAP BusinessObjects users, services, content promotion, repositories, system configuration, and application performance.Monitor Linux systems and applications, analyze logs, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.Perform Linux and application patching, upgrades, system hardening, and configuration changes in accordance with security and compliance requirements.Troubleshoot issues across application, operating system, database, and network layers.Work closely with development, database, security, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve application and system issues.Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration guides, and troubleshooting documentation.Support incident, change, and problem management processes within an ITIL or similar framework.Assist with application integrations, automation, and operational workflow improvements.Participate in on-call or after-hours support as required. Required Qualifications Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.3+ years of experience in Linux system administration or application administration.Strong knowledge of Linux command-line tools, system services, shell scripting, file permissions, and log analysis.Experience with RHEL, CentOS, or similar Linux distributions.Familiarity with Apache, Tomcat, web services, or application server technologies.Experience supporting applications in secure, regulated, or compliance-driven environments.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across application, server, database, and network environments.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams.
