About The Role
As our Senior Databricks Consultant, you will lead Databricks projects and help develop our assets and resources, while guiding our team to consistently deliver innovative and reliable solutions.
You'll be integral in uplifting Databricks knowledge in the team, driving continuous improvement from implementation through ongoing enhancements to our assets, while embedding best practices and ensuring quality outcomes.
You'll work cross-functionally with our sales and marketing team, technology partners and clients to strengthen our position as a Databricks solutions leader.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a subject matter expert in Databricks and related technologiesProvide guidance on lakehouse design patterns (including medallion architecture), delivery methodologies and toolingEnsure delivery quality across Databricks data platform, data engineering and AI/ML projectsImplement security, governance and compliance on Databricks using Unity CatalogCapture and promote client success stories and case studies in Databricks implementationsWork with Databricks and other technology partners on solution design and deliverySupport the sales team with pre-sales engagements and solution designContribute to training and certification pathways for our Databricks consultantsHelp identify and develop opportunities with existing Databricks clientsContribute Databricks-focused thought leadership through published contentParticipate in conference sessions, webinars and executive round table events
What You'll Bring
Proven experience delivering Databricks platforms and solutions, including leading small teams or workstreamsDeep technical knowledge of Databricks, Apache Spark (PySpark and Spark SQL), Delta Lake, data modelling (dimensional or Data Vault) and cloud data architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP)Hands-on experience with Lakeflow (Connect, Pipelines, Jobs), Databricks SQL and Unity Catalog for security, access control, lineage and auditingExperience with Agile, DevOps/CI-CD (including Databricks Asset Bundles) and modern data delivery practicesExposure to machine learning and AI on Databricks (e.g.
MLflow, Mosaic AI, Genie, Agent Bricks) is highly regardedExperience leading migrations from legacy data platforms (e.g.
SQL Server, Synapse, Hadoop, SAS) to DatabricksExperience optimising Databricks cost and performance (e.g.
