Director of Engineering — Cleverstreet Cleverstreet is looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead the stability and scaling of ZeroApply, our AI-powered job application platform. With growing interest and paid users joining, we need someone who can quickly understand the product, identify the most important technical issues, and deliver improvements that support continued growth. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct responsibility for both technical decisions and execution. What you’ll do • Assess the platform and prioritize reliability, performance, and scalability improvements. • Write, review, and ship production code. • Improve monitoring, testing, deployment, and incident response. • Strengthen the reliability of AI workflows and third-party integrations. • Address security and user-data protection throughout the platform. • Work directly with the founder to turn business priorities into an actionable engineering roadmap. • Establish engineering practices that support a growing team. What we’re looking for • Experience building and operating production software. • Strong full-stack engineering and system-design skills. • Experience improving the reliability and performance of a growing product. • Ability to troubleshoot across application code, infrastructure, and integrations. • Clear communication, sound technical judgment, and ownership of results. • Comfort working in an early-stage environment with changing priorities. Experience with AI-powered products, workflow automation, or recruiting technology is a plus. Compensation and payment timing • Annual compensation: $250,000. • Profit sharing after six months, with specific terms to be agreed in writing.
