Role Description This is a full-time, on-site DevSecOps Engineer role based in Greater Medan.
The DevSecOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that security controls are integrated throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Day-to-day responsibilities include automating infrastructure provisioning, managing configuration and deployment processes, monitoring system performance and security, and responding to incidents.
The role involves collaborating closely with development and operations teams to embed security best practices into code, infrastructure, and workflows, as well as reviewing system architectures and application changes for potential vulnerabilities.
The DevSecOps Engineer will also help maintain documentation, improve tooling, and support ongoing training and awareness on secure development and operations practices.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts for building and automating tools and scripts.Experience in Software Development with a focus on integrating security practices into the development lifecycle.Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, services, and server-side frameworks.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and build automation tools.Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and infrastructure-as-code tools.Understanding of application and infrastructure security principles, vulnerability management, and secure configuration practices.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document processes and standards.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, or security (e.g., DevSecOps, cloud security) are a plus.
