Description

Powertrain Engineer We are partnering with a leading recreational vehicle OEM seeking a Powertrain Engineer to support both electric and ICE vehicle programs. Position Highlights • Location: Augusta, GA — Onsite / Relocation Required • Salary: $120K–$126K base, no bonus • Relocation: Lump-sum relocation assistance provided • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder required • Hands-on design and release role • Work with motors, engines, CVTs, and transaxles • Own projects from development through production and launch What You'll Do • Design and develop mechanical powertrain systems • Lead projects through design, testing, release, and launch • Develop specifications, qualification plans, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs • Perform risk analysis and drive engineering changes • Work closely with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams • Troubleshoot technical issues and drive solutions • Mentor designers, lab technicians, and other team members • Help drive projects to key milestones and successful production launches What We're Looking For • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent • 7+ years of powertrain design and release experience • Hands-on experience with motors, engines, CVTs, or transaxles • Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, risk analysis, specifications, and engineering changes • Strong project management and problem-solving skills • Experience working with suppliers and customers • Strong communication and leadership abilities Why Consider It? • Work directly for an established OEM • Opportunity to have significant influence in a smaller, more collaborative engineering environment • Work across both electric and ICE powertrain technologies • Strong opportunity to grow into greater technical and leadership responsibilities • Long-tenured organization with opportunities for career advancement • Beautiful Augusta, GA location near Augusta National Golf Club and the South Carolina border If you are interested and qualified, please send your updated resume as a MS Word document to jim.guerrera@scnteam.com
