Role Description As a member of the Founding Engineering Team, you will design and build core systems that power Altis’s AI-driven research platform, from data ingestion and processing pipelines to user-facing tools for venture investors.
You will collaborate closely with product, research, and commercial partners to translate investor workflows into scalable technical solutions, focusing on reliability, performance, and security.
Daily work will include prototyping new features, refining architecture, reviewing code, and iterating quickly based on user feedback to create a robust foundation for future growth.
You will help establish engineering best practices, contribute to technical strategy, and mentor future hires as the team expands.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience building production-quality software, preferably in a startup or early-stage environment, with familiarity in modern programming languages and cloud infrastructure.Comfort with AI, data-intensive systems, or analytics platforms, and interest in applying technology to venture investing and research workflows.Ability to thrive in an on-site, collaborative setting in the New York City Metropolitan Area and contribute to a founding-team culture of ownership, curiosity, and integrity.
