About the team: This team develops Walmart’s OMNI pricing platform supporting eCommerce and store channels across multiple countries, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Central America. The platform addresses complex business challenges involving various users and extensive data, focusing on setting Every Day Low Prices for stores and competitive pricing for online markets. Team members apply cloud-native architecture and software design principles to build scalable, resilient solutions. They collaborate closely with global operations to deliver impactful technology that drives Walmart’s multi-billion dollar markets, ensuring high-quality, data-driven, and innovative platform capabilities. What you'll do: Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities. Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems. Lead full software development lifecycle activities including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Conduct system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards. Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and automation features. Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements. Drive continuous improvement through data-driven practices, innovation, and knowledge sharing. What you'll bring: Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to build scalable and resilient systems. Strong experience in software design patterns, API design, and platform development to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, and C++ for AI/ML integration and software prototyping. Demonstrated ability to lead full software development lifecycle activities, including CI/CD deployment, observability, and maintenance. Skilled in conducting design reviews and applying data-driven decision making to optimize engineering outcomes. Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction to promote engineering excellence and innovation.
