About The Role

We are currently seeking a Traffic Engineer to join a major transport infrastructure project in Western Sydney, supporting the successful delivery of one of the region's most significant road upgrades.
Reporting directly to the Project Traffic Manager, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination and implementation of traffic engineering and traffic management solutions throughout project delivery.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a complex, high-profile project while gaining direct mentorship from an experienced traffic management leader.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the development, review and implementation of Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)Coordinating temporary traffic arrangements to support construction activitiesMonitoring on-site traffic conditions and identifying opportunities for improvementLiaising with Transport for NSW, local authorities, subcontractors and key stakeholdersSupporting approvals, permits and compliance requirementsAssisting with traffic staging, construction methodology and access planningConducting traffic assessments, investigations and reportingProviding traffic engineering advice to project and construction teamsEnsuring all works comply with relevant standards, specifications and safety requirements
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering or a related disciplineExperience working on road, transport or infrastructure projectsSound knowledge of TfNSW standards and traffic management requirementsExperience reviewing or preparing traffic management documentationStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvementThe ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic project environment
