Position Summary
The AI Full-Stack Engineer finishes what others start.
Analysts on the AI Solutions team use Claude Code to get a prototype most of the way there.
This role takes it the rest of the way: refactors, redesigns, and re-architects where needed, adds the tests, and ships it to a standard the next engineer can maintain.
You will direct AI coding tools more than you type, and you answer for every line that ships regardless of who or what wrote the first draft.
This is a role for an engineer who would rather build things people actually use than start from a blank file.
Position Responsibilities
Take prototypes from analysts and other teams to production: refactor, rationalize, and restructure them to meet our standards for architecture, data design, security, and maintainability, without losing what made the prototype right.
Build and maintain internal web applications, workflows, integrations, and AI-enabled tools that connect our ERP, CRM, telematics, and other business systems.
Work spec-first with AI coding tools such as Claude Code: write the spec and the tests, direct the generation, review the output, and own the result.
Design the data models and integration patterns (REST, file-based, and event-driven), including error handling, retries, and reconciliation between systems.
Write the specs, tests, and documentation that let both an agent and the next engineer do the right thing.
Review code written by analysts and coach them toward better structure, so prototypes arrive closer to done each time.
Instrument what you ship: logging, alerting, and a way for a user to report a bad answer or a wrong number.
Maintain what you build, and help retire the things we should not have built or bought.
Work directly with the technicians, schedulers, buyers, and planners who use what you build.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent working experience.
Minimum 5+ years building and maintaining full-stack applications in production.
Proficient in Python and TypeScript/Node, and willing to work in other languages as the job requires.
Strong SQL and relational data modeling, including reconciling records between systems.
Demonstrated ability to take over someone else's code and make it better: refactoring, restructuring, testing, and documenting.
Daily practice with AI-assisted coding, and a clear point of view on where it fails.
REST and file-based integration experience.
Experience in a business-systems-heavy environment, such as an ERP integrated with a CRM, WMS, or eCommerce platform.
Wants to grow into an AI-assisted engineer: less typing, more designing, reviewing, and directing.
Ideal Candidates Will Also Have
Mid-market ERP or CRM implementation or integration experience.
Power Platform or Microsoft Fabric experience.
Azure hosting and CI/CD experience.
Manufacturing, distribution, or field service domain knowledge.
