Java AI Engineer

Mroads is looking for a "Java AI Engineer" for one of the direct clients in Dallas, TX. This is a full-time opportunity with Mroads. Seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong experience in Microservices architecture and Fundamentals of AI. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience using AI-powered coding agents such as Claude AI to enhance development efficiency and code quality. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java-based microservices using frameworks like Spring BootDesign scalable and resilient distributed systemsApply AI fundamentals to enhance system capabilities and workflowsLeverage coding agents (e.g., Claude AI) for code generation, debugging, and optimizationBuild and consume RESTful APIsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile ceremoniesEnsure high-quality code through testing and reviews Required Skills: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 4+ years of experience, OR a Master s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) with at least 6 months of experienceStrong proficiency in Java and Microservices architectureGood understanding of AI fundamentals (ML/NLP basics)Experience with AI coding tools like Claude AI or similarKnowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud platforms
