About the Opportunity: The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - ORCHESTRATION & JOB EXECUTION (CLOUD PLATFORM) is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend services that manage workflow orchestration and job execution within the cloud platform. This role is critical for ensuring reliable and scalable coordination of distributed systems, contributing directly to the platform's operational excellence and capability enhancement. Responsibilities: Design and deliver backend services, APIs, workers, and shared libraries for cloud platform features.Develop systems for orchestrating workflows, including job management and operational visibility.Build asynchronous, event-driven systems using queues, messaging, and durable state.Manage distributed execution flows and service-to-service coordination.Maintain cloud-native runtime infrastructure using containers, Kubernetes, and automation tools.Integrate services with persistence layers, event streams, and APIs.Enhance production reliability through monitoring, logging, health checks, and incident management.Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.Collaborate with multiple teams to translate product requirements into platform capabilities.Utilize AI and modern tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality. Requirements: Minimum 4 years of professional software development with ownership of backend or distributed systems.Proficiency in building backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, or similar technologies.Experience with asynchronous, queue-driven, or event-driven system design and operation.Knowledge of durable persistence, RESTful APIs, and multi-service integrations.Familiarity with cloud-native production systems, container orchestration, and operational debugging.Strong practices in testing, observability, logging, metrics, tracing, and incident response.Ability to lead design decisions, communicate technical trade-offs, and mentor engineers.
