This role is responsible for collaborating with senior engineers, internal stakeholders, and the organization's external development partner to support and enhance Visual Comfort & Co.’s ecommerce platform. Duties include serving as a hands-on developer on the Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud platform, building, maintaining, and supporting features across both the SFRA storefront and headless/composable front-end architecture; actively contributing code, participating in code reviews, resolving defects, and supporting application releases. The role also supports Agile development processes through participation in sprint planning, daily scrums, user story delivery, and ongoing communication regarding project progress, risks, and roadblocks. This position helps increase the organization's development capacity and agility as ecommerce development capabilities continue to be brought in-house while maintaining a collaborative partnership with the external development vendor. How success is defined: Develop front-end and back-end solutions on the Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud platform (SFRA) and headless/composable storefront to deliver user stories and business requirements.Build, maintain, and enhance custom cartridges, controllers, ISML templates, models, hooks, APIs, and back-end job scripts supporting ecommerce functionality and integrations.Develop, consume, and support SCAPI/OCAPI services and third-party integrations to ensure seamless data exchange across platforms.Participate in code reviews, create well-documented pull requests, and support deployments and releases across development, staging, and production environments.Increase automated test coverage, troubleshoot defects, review application and Business Manager logs, and implement timely resolutions.Support Page Designer components, content slots, Business Manager configurations, and digital marketing and analytics tool integrations.Collaborate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, task estimation, daily scrums, and user story delivery.Optimize front-end and back-end site architecture, performance, uptime, and Core Web Vitals to enhance the customer experience.Partner with internal teams, infrastructure resources, and onshore/offshore development partners to deliver features, bug fixes, and environment improvements.Document technical designs, processes, and workflows while communicating project status, progress, risks, and roadblocks to stakeholders.Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems. What you will bring: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 4-7 years of experience developing, supporting, and maintaining responsive front-end web applications and back-end systems.Minimum 4 years of hands-on Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (Demandware) experience, including ecommerce development, integration, testing, deployment, and support; Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification preferred.Strong knowledge of SFCC architecture and functionality, including SFRA cartridges, controllers, ISML templates, models, hooks, forms, Business Manager configuration, Page Designer, content assets, custom objects, custom jobs, site preferences, and catalog, inventory, pricing, customer, and import/export data structures.Experience with headless/composable commerce solutions, including SCAPI, OCAPI, React, Node.js, and integration of third-party platforms such as payment gateways, tax solutions, search tools, OMS, and PIM systems.Experience participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, source control management, and DevOps best practices.Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, Node.js, SFCC server-side scripting, ISML, React, CSS/SASS, Bootstrap, REST and GraphQL APIs, Git, Azure DevOps/TFS, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing prioritiesAbility to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperationDemonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phoneAvailable to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late eveningsEquivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role Compensation Range: $125,000 - $130,000 Compensation is based on individual factors, including skill set, relevant experience, and work location Qualified applicants are considered for employment, and employees are treated during employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, gender identity, or expression, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.
