Company Overview: None Job Description: Job Description: Senior API Developer (FircoSoft & WorkFusion Integration Lead) Job Summary We are seeking a Senior API Developer with proven experience architecting and delivering critical financial crime compliance integrations. In this senior role, you will take technical ownership of designing, securing, and implementing real-time API layers that connect core processing systems with FircoSoft platforms (Trust and Continuity) and AI-driven automation via WorkFusion. As a senior engineer, you will lead the implementation of complex enterprise integration patterns, ensure ironclad API security, and establish robust monitoring systems capable of processing high-volume, low-latency transaction flows safely and reliably. Core Responsibilities • Architect & Build Compliance Interfaces: Act as the primary technical developer for critical compliance systems. You will construct the Prediction Integrator interfaces, the Trust Interface with WorkFusion, and a custom Negative News interface for the FircoSoft Trust application. • Orchestrate WorkFusion Intelligent Automation: Design and build resilient, secure outbound API calls to WorkFusion and develop automated pipelines to process and validate WorkFusion responses for alert optimization. • Core FircoSoft Integration: Develop deep system integrations with the FircoSoft Continuity CMAPI (Component Management API) to handle transaction screening logic. • System Resiliency & Reliability: Implement enterprise-grade error handling and intelligent retry mechanisms to prevent transaction drops. Build comprehensive, tamper-proof audit logging to meet strict regulatory and compliance requirements. • Observability & System Health: Establish modern monitoring and observability framework patterns to track system throughput, API latency, and operational health in real-time. • Technical Leadership: Guide the strategy for complex JSON payload transformations and champion the application of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) across the team. Required Technical Skills & Qualifications • Experience: 7+ years of backend software engineering experience, with 3+ years leading integrations involving financial compliance platforms (FircoSoft, WorkFusion, or similar AML tools). • API Design & Security Mastery: Deep expertise in REST API design and development. Extensive experience implementing rigorous API security practices, including OAuth2, JWT, and mutual TLS (mTLS) for secure service-to-service communication. • Core Technology Stack: Expert-level command of Java and Spring Boot for microservices creation. • Containers & Orchestration: Proven experience deploying and managing production workloads in OpenShift or Kubernetes container environments. • Messaging Systems: Heavy practical experience building event-driven systems using Apache Kafka or IBM MQ. • Cloud Infrastructure: Strong understanding of cloud networking principles, internal routing, service meshes, and cloud security architecture. Preferred Qualifications • Experience migrating legacy compliance interfaces to distributed, cloud-native environments. • Formal certifications in Cloud Technologies (AWS/Azure), Red Hat OpenShift, or FircoSoft architectures.
