Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Description We are seeking a Senior SRE / Senior Systems DevOps to join our Core Compute Infrastructure Team. The team ensures the reliability, configuration consistency, and operational health of our bare-metal host systems. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and automating the SaltStack states and system services required to deploy orchestrator stacks cleanly onto our new servers. Eager to know more? Requirements Preferred qualifications & skills Education & experience: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus heavy experience in Linux systems engineering and DevOps.OS & Automation: Mastery of Linux administration (Debian family preferred), system configuration management (SaltStack preferred), and Bash/Python scripting.Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep understanding of systemd services, process supervision, network configurations, and system logging.Build & Deploy: Experience managing continuous integration workflows and automated service rollouts Nice to have skills: Experience with Prometheus exporters and system monitoring frameworks. Job responsibilities Configure, automate, and maintain runtime environment states for orchestrator services on compute hosts using IaC approach (SaltStack).Troubleshoot systemd unit dependencies, deployment failures, and OS-level service degradation on new hardware.Validate infrastructure health, service metrics, and automated deployment pipelines for core compute services.Partner with software engineering teams to resolve operational bottlenecks during deployment rollouts.
