Senior Shiny Developer | R | Shiny | Pharma €65,000 | Permanent | Bulgaria (Sofia) or Malta What if your Shiny development skills could be used to build analytics applications that genuinely influence how major pharmaceutical organisations work with data? A specialist analytics and digital consultancy is looking for a Senior Shiny Developer to join a major pharma programme. This is a role for someone who enjoys more than writing code. You'll be involved in the technical design, development, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of Shiny applications, while working directly with users, developers, data engineers and client stakeholders. The programme is currently in a particularly active user engagement phase, so you'll have plenty of opportunity to understand feedback, solve challenging edge cases and turn user requirements into practical technical solutions. What you'll be doing • Leading technical delivery of Shiny analytics applications • Developing production-quality applications using R and Shiny • Working directly with users and client stakeholders • Translating feedback into technical requirements and solutions • Troubleshooting complex application issues • Working with APIs, SQL and data models • Writing tested, maintainable and documented R code • Developing reusable R packages • Supporting architecture and technical decision-making • Mentoring other developers • Contributing to agile delivery and technical best practice • Helping reduce technical debt and improve application stability What you'll bring • Strong commercial R + Shiny experience • Proven experience building Shiny applications for production • Strong SQL skills • Experience working with APIs and data • Pharma, life sciences, clinical programming or statistical programming experience • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Experience working directly with clients or users • A consulting mindset - able to understand the problem, not just build the solution Bonus points for Golem | Rhino | data.table | Docker | WSL | HTML | CSS | JavaScript | Machine Learning | Statistical Modelling | A/B Testing | Clinical Trials Why this role?
