Product Engineer

The Product Engineer provides technical and engineering support across all divisions and is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of professional automotive service equipment. This role partners closely with Product Management and cross-functional teams to enhance existing products, develop innovative new solutions, and expand the company's product portfolio. The Product Engineer supports projects from concept through production, ensuring products meet performance, quality, manufacturability, cost, and customer requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Become knowledgeable of all product specifications and standards and contribute to the company’s growth.Provide technical support for the company’s new products and process including product specifications, product development and product sourcing.Plan, lead and track projects from initial concept to production launch.Create and revise product CAD models and drawings including working with outside technical support resources when needed.Perform first article inspections and maintain first article reference samples for new products.Perform problem solving for customer, supplier, and internal production problems using fundamental tools and scientific methods.Prepare technical reports and presentations.Support customer service and sales with replies to technical inquiries.Support operations in improving production methods, tooling, and capital equipment.Assist in defining process and product quality standards.Maintain technical documentation and engineering files.Coordinate planned product and process improvements.
