8 years of software test experience in both automated and manual environmentsExperience testing complex, distributed systems and network related componentsExperience with Linux and Windows operating systems (embedded system not required)Network management related experience - understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP networking, including TCP, UDP, IP, routing protocols, and network optimizationNetwork protocol experience such as IP networks, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), and network security policiesExperience with Kafka to inject test events or messagesExperience using AI for code support including Codex, Claude, and/or equivalent

Key Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of the applications and systems used to control and manage the Telesat LEO constellationDevelop, review, execute, and maintain test cases to validate system functionality, with test results documented and tracked in ZephyrIdentify, characterize, document, and report product defects using JiraCollaborate with software development and engineering teams to investigate defects, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutionsValidate that products meet technical, functional, performance, and business requirementsPerform network testing and troubleshooting to assess system reliability, performance, and interoperabilityAnalyze test results, identify performance issues, and provide clear technical documentation and recommendations
