Senior Java Developer

Work model: 2-3 days per week from office in Warsaw/Gdańsk/Gdynia Rate: 165 pln/h net +VAT Employment type: B2B contract Introduction & Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Expert Java Developer with a minimum of 6 years of experience in software development. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of modern development practices. Main Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for developing new services and solutions within the embedded banking area. Key responsibilities include: Developing new services in the Embedded Banking Service Domain.Collaborating with a Scrum team to deliver high-quality software.Creating and maintaining microservices applications.Utilizing AI-assisted development tools in the coding process.Ensuring high availability and performance of distributed applications. Key Requirements Minimum 6 years of experience in Java software development.Proficiency with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Db2.Experience developing microservices.Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).Ability to build distributed, high-throughput applications.Fluency in spoken and written English. Nice to Have Experience with Kafka, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.Familiarity with REST APIs, Maven, and JUnit.Knowledge of Specification-Driven Development (SDD) and SDD frameworks. Other Details This position is based in Poland, preferably in Gdańsk, Gdynia, or Warsaw, within a hybrid working model requiring a minimum of 60% office presence.
