For more details, please connect with Pawan Shrivastava at 510-983-4629 or email at pawans@vgroupinc.com Direct End Client: State of Connecticut – Department of Children and Families Job Title: Salesforce Developer Duration: Approximately 12.5 Months Start Date: 10/14/2026 End Date: 10/28/2027 Location: Department of Children and Families 505 Hudson Street, Hartford, CT 06106 Position Type: Contract No. of Hours: 40 Hours/Week Interview Type: In-Person (First and Second Round Interviews) Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Telecommute: Hybrid – Candidate must be able to come into the office 2 days every 2 weeks or 1 day per week Requisition ID: 66413 Department: DCF IS Division Program: CCIWS Program Note: Candidate must be in Connecticut Position Summary:- · The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a senior-level Full Stack Developer / Salesforce Developer to support its mission-critical child welfare applications and the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) initiative. · The selected candidate will support existing custom Salesforce applications and participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for the new CT-KIND system. · The consultant will work with the System Integrator to support knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance of assigned application modules. · The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of Salesforce development experience with strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in Apex. · The role will involve requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance, production support, and technical documentation. Responsibilities:- · The selected consultant will perform, but not be limited to, the following activities: · Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). · Verify requirements and translate business requirements into technical solutions. · Design, develop, test, maintain, and support Salesforce applications. · Develop Salesforce applications using Apex, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Lightning Pages, and Visualforce Pages. · Perform full-stack Salesforce development including CRUD operations, configuration, SOQL, and design patterns. · Apply advanced Salesforce development concepts including OOP and established design patterns. · Analyze and support requirements for integrating applications. · Participate in the development and implementation of the new CT-KIND system. · Support existing custom Salesforce applications. · Work with the System Integrator to facilitate knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance of application solutions. · Create and maintain required technical documentation throughout the SDLC. · Provide application development and technical support as directed by agency management. · Troubleshoot application issues and support maintenance activities. · Work collaboratively with DCF IS teams and other technical stakeholders. · Mentor less experienced staff and contribute technical knowledge to the development team. · Drive assigned work from requirements through implementation. · Demonstrate strong analytical, abstract thinking, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills. · Follow DCF security, privacy, and technology policies. Required Skills: · Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce development. · Strong experience coding Salesforce Apex using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). · Strong knowledge of Salesforce Design Patterns. · Experience developing Lightning Pages and Visualforce Pages. · Experience with Salesforce full-stack development, including CRUD, configuration, and SOQL. · Strong knowledge of .NET OOP and SOA. · Experience with JavaScript frameworks preferred. · Strong SQL experience. · Experience with end-to-end web development. · Experience participating in requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support activities. · Experience with Agile Development Methodology. · Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework. · Experience with Responsive Design Patterns. · Experience with Web Services and Windows Services. · Strong C# experience. · Strong JavaScript experience. · Excellent presentation and teamwork skills. · Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and drive work from requirements through implementation. Additional Requirements: · Candidate must be located in Connecticut. · Candidate must be available for in-person first and second-round interviews. · Candidate must be able to work onsite at least 1 day per week or 2 days every 2 weeks. · H1B candidates are welcome but must have an approved I-140. · Candidates with professional references will receive priority. · Selected candidates must complete the required DCF background verification and screening process. · Selected candidates must comply with DCF Child Protection Background Check and DCF Non-Disclosure Agreement requirements. · The position requires compliance with DCF security and privacy policies.
