About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Python Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative IT solutions using Python to enhance Florida Blue's Customer Experience applications. Your expertise will be crucial in creating scalable, efficient, and secure systems that meet the evolving needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills, a solid understanding of system architecture, and experience working with AI and RESTful services. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with extensive experience in Python development. Proven experience in developing REST APIs, processing batch files, and scheduling batch processes is essential. Familiarity with AI agent design, Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards, and development tools such as Copilot and Devin will be highly advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with databases like SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, or PostgreSQL, and possess a thorough understanding of the systems development lifecycle. Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to rapid changes. Excellent communication skills are necessary to clearly articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Responsibilities As a Senior Python Developer, your key responsibilities will include designing and developing AI agents adhering to MCP standards, and building optimized agentic workflows utilizing Copilot and Devin tools. You will architect scalable, production-ready AI systems with robust error handling, monitoring, and security controls to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will integrate AI agents into existing infrastructure, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize system reliability. Conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of system architecture, APIs, and deployment procedures will be integral to your role. Additionally, you will evaluate purchased products for performance, contribute to testing and release procedures, and ensure compliance with IT controls and security standards. Your expertise will support continuous improvement of system performance and scalability, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and technical standards.
