Position Summary
Jedson Engineering is seeking an Application Developer to support, enhance, and modernize our internally developed business platform.
This role will develop and maintain business-critical applications used across project operations, reporting, finance, project controls, and engineering processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and our DBA/SQL Engineer to deliver application enhancements, integrations, reporting solutions, and process improvements.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with PHP, JavaScript, Webix, and Microsoft SQL Server and enjoys solving business problems through technology.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and support the Insight platform and related business applications.Build and enhance web-based user interfaces using JavaScript, Webix, HTML, and CSS.Develop and maintain backend application functionality using PHP.Create, modify, and optimize SQL queries, views, reports, and stored procedures.Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.Develop and maintain integrations with internal and third-party systems using APIs and web services.Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, reporting, and integration issues.Participate in testing, deployments, documentation, and ongoing application support.Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.Contribute to future application modernization initiatives and new application development efforts.
Required Qualifications
Professional experience developing applications using PHP.Professional experience developing web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Experience working with Webix or similar JavaScript UI frameworks.Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries against relational databases.Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.Experience developing or supporting API integrations.Familiarity with IIS and Windows-hosted web applications.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work directly with business users to understand requirements and deliver solutions.Experience using source control systems such as Git.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting internally developed line-of-business applications.Exposure to C#, ASP.NET, or .NET development.Experience with Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint.Experience in the engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services industry.Experience with reporting, ERP, project management, or operational business systems.Experience working with enterprise software integrations and data synchronization processes.
