Job#: 3053782 Job Description: Distributed Automation Engineer Location: Merrifield, VA or Pensacola, FL (Hybrid) Alternative Location: Remote (U.S.) Role Overview This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting distributed intake channels, web services, and an Enterprise orchestration platform. The role involves providing consulting services to clients across the enterprise and requires the ability to assimilate complex cross-discipline and cross-technology concepts. The ideal candidate will design, build, test, and update reusable automations, web applications, and workflow services. Key Responsibilities Partner with various technology teams to identify and reengineer processes as they onboard to orchestration or migrate to web applications.Drive industry standards for continuous process improvements.Design and implement highly available automation using orchestration platforms, preferably Micro Focus Operations Orchestration.Continue the advancement of the orchestration platform through evaluation, engineering, and adopting emerging technologies and practices in the industry.Lead efforts to automate and orchestrate repeatable administration tasks, improving reliability and reusability.Establish defined invocation channels for ordering and initiating orchestrated services to ensure standardization, traceability, and reporting.Advocate for the concepts and realization of web applications and the orchestration platform within the environment.Develop thorough technical documentation, including diagrams. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Experience: Level 3 experience is preferred (10+ years), but the role is open to level 2 for the right candidate. Experience should include development and testing of web applications, working with Windows and Linux/Unix platforms, and performing data analysis. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, such as Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3.Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, PHP, Java, PowerShell/PowerCLI, Perl, VBScript, Rexx, Windows batch scripting, web services and/or web APIs).Experience with database administration (Oracle, DB2, and/or SQL Server).Demonstrated skill in understanding and applying technical information to automation opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to present processes in terms that the customer understands.
