Mechanical Engineer

YER Tech Solutions (TS) is looking for an entrepreneurial Mechanical Engineer who wants to be at the forefront of something new. You will play a key role in developing innovative mechanical solutions for our customers and contribute to building the engineering foundation of a fast-growing organisation. You won't inherit a mature organisation with fixed processes and legacy structures. Your role As Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, designing and optimising mechanical products, machines and systems within customer projects. You will translate customer and system requirements into practical, manufacturable and cost-effective mechanical solutions. From concept engineering to detailed design and validation, you will contribute to the successful delivery of innovative engineering projects. While the Systems Engineer defines what the overall system must do and how disciplines interact, you focus on how the mechanical solution is designed, engineered and realised. You will work closely with Systems Engineers, suppliers and other engineering disciplines to ensure robust and high-quality outcomes. Your responsibilities Translate customer and system requirements into mechanical concepts and detailed designs and describe the project proposal in a Statement of WorkCreate and maintain 3D models, drawings and technical documentationPerform engineering calculations such as statics or dynamics, tolerance analyses and design evaluationsSelect materials, components and manufacturing methodsSupport prototype development, testing and validation activitiesContribute to manufacturability, assembly and cost optimisationCollaborate with systems, electrical and software engineers in multidisciplinary projectsIdentify and communicate technical risks and design issuesContribute to engineering methodologies, templates and best practicesSupport project delivery from concept through implementation Functie-eisen BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering5+ years of engineering experience in a project environmentStrong knowledge of mechanical design, product development and manufacturingExperience working on projects from concept development through detailed design and implementationExperience with CAD/CAE tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or similarKnowledge of engineering calculations, materials, tolerancing and manufacturing processesCommercial awareness and customer-facing skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesBased in the Netherlands, preferably in the Rotterdam, Utrecht or Eindhoven regionDutch speaking is a strong advantageAuthorized to work in the Netherlands without the need for visa sponsorshipExperience across multiple industries or engineering domains is considered a plus Arbeidsvoorwaarden Salary between €70,000 and €85,000Company carOpportunity to build a new engineering organisation from day oneDirect influence on strategy, delivery and growthExposure to highly innovative engineering projectsCollaboration with experienced commercial and delivery leadersSignificant personal and professional growth opportunitiesInternational growth ambitions and future career paths,Bedrijfsomschrijving About YER Tech Solutions YER Tech Solutions delivers engineering expertise through Statement of Work (SoW) projects.
