You will be a key member of a team delivering solutions that power the research and deliver the insights our customers need to make informed decisions. In This Role, You Will Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutionsDesign and code software from business and technical specifications, while maintaining quality, security, and adherence to team standardsPerform code reviews to ensure quality, proactively identify defects, and recommend improvementsInvestigate and resolve complex and potentially time-sensitive technical issues for supported applicationsContribute to the creation of technical and end-user product documentation, and design artifactsEnforce engineering best practices and proactively identify security vulnerabilitiesUse AI to accelerate design, development, and documentation while ensuring quality through careful review of generated code and assetsMentor junior engineers on new technologies, processes, and industry domain knowledge Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience6+ years of full-stack software development with both frontend and backend experienceStrong proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and REST API designProficiency with relational and non-relational database design and developmentExperience working as a member of an Agile/Scrum teamExperience with Git and Git-based CI/CD pipelinesExperience writing incremental unit tests and applying coding best practicesAbility to develop deep domain knowledge in industry-specific business rules and processesProficient with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and able to judge when to accept, edit, or reject generated outputSkilled at providing effective context — codebase conventions, requirements, constraints — to produce production-quality resultsExperience using AI to accelerate test authoring, documentation, and routine refactoringAware of AI tool limitations: hallucinated APIs, outdated patterns, security pitfalls in generated code, and the need for human verification before mergeSelf-directed and detail-oriented, able to take ownership of work from requirements through releaseStrong communication and problem-solving skills, comfortable working across technical and business stakeholdersSupports the growth of other team members through peer reviews, pairing, and mentorship Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with market research data collection and processing (Unicom Intelligence preferred)Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also valuable), including Lambda or equivalent serverless computingHands-on experience with a modern cloud data platform - Snowflake, Databricks, etc.Familiarity with secure coding practices and common vulnerability classes (OWASP Top 10)Experience building software in Agentic fashion Compensation And Benefits This position has a starting salary range of $100,000 - $120,000 CAD per year. The range represents what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee’s pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
