Senior Global Welding Engineer

Job Description If you are a welding engineering professional looking to apply your technical expertise across a global manufacturing network, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Boulder, Colorado, the Senior Global Welding Engineer will provide technical leadership for welding and joining processes supporting the manufacture of Coriolis, ultrasonic, magnetic, and vortex flow meters across sites in North America, Asia, and Europe. In this role, you will guide welding standards, solve complex manufacturing challenges, support new-product development, and influence the deployment of welding equipment, automation, and emerging technologies. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations while building a global welding community of practice that strengthens capability across our manufacturing network. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Serve as a global technical resource for welding and joining processes, supporting manufacturing sites in solving complex quality and process challenges.Support new-product development and industrialization through welding process development, qualification, and manufacturing readiness activities.Develop and maintain global welding standards, procedures, and manufacturing guidelines to ensure consistent execution across sites.Evaluate, qualify, and deploy welding equipment, automation, robotic systems, and emerging joining technologies.Establish and lead a global welding community of practice that strengthens technical capability and promotes alignment across manufacturing sites. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a closely related engineering disciplineA minimum of five years of relevant welding engineering or manufacturing experienceKnowledge of welding metallurgy, weldability, process qualification, and defect preventionDemonstrated ability to develop, qualify, troubleshoot, or improve welding and joining processesFamiliarity with welding procedure and welder performance qualificationsWorking knowledge of applicable welding codes and standardsAbility to travel approximately 20 percent, including internationallyLegal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Bachelor’s degree specifically in Welding Engineering or Welding Engineering TechnologyProficiency in GTAW or GMAW welding processes, particularly in stainless steel applicationsFamiliarity with orbital welding, automated or robotic welding systems, or vacuum brazingContributions to new product development, process industrialization, or welding design for manufacturability initiatives.CWI, CWE, IWE, or comparable welding certification Our Culture & Commitment to You: At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is$90,000 to $129,000annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
