Senior Web Developer

Job Description If you are interested in doing web development that supports an extraordinary mission—working with our customer who runs the DoD’s largest supercomputing centers and enabling users of some of the most powerful supercomputers in the world—we could use your experience and enthusiasm! As part of a small, collaborative team, you will use your web development expertise to provide DoD scientists with the tools and information they need to effectively leverage these advanced computing resources. In this role, your work will directly support the warfighter. Key Responsibilities Application & Site Development: Develop, maintain, and enhance public and private websites and web applications using the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).UI/UX Design & Front-End: Create responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using Bootstrap.Version Control & Collaboration: Utilize Git and GitLab for source code management, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.DevSecOps Integration: Help our web team transition into a DevSecOps methodology, integrating security best practices and automation into the development lifecycle.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with DoD and Federal regulations, including Section 508 accessibility standards and Privacy Act restrictions.Content Quality & Standards: Enforce typographic and visual standards while providing quality control across all digital content.Code Integrity: Maintain high code quality through established best practices, testing, and documentation standards.Technology Evaluation: Stay up-to-date on emerging web technologies and evaluate their viability for deployment within a secure environment.Support & Maintenance: Investigate and resolve web-related trouble tickets and user issues in a timely manner.Strategic Planning: Contribute to immediate and long-range strategic initiatives designed to optimize the end-user experience. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Proven professional experience in full-stack web development utilizing the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).Hands-on proficiency in building responsive, modern user interfaces with Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS3.Practical experience managing codebases with Git and GitLab.Familiarity with or strong interest in modern DevSecOps practices and automated deployment pipelines.Understanding of Section 508 accessibility guidelines and secure coding practices.Active CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification).Ability to pass and obtain the CompTIA Linux+ certification within 60 days of hire. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman) and CI/CD configuration in GitLab CI.Hands-on experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).Experience working in high-performance computing (HPC), scientific, government, or DoD IT environments.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an agile, multidisciplinary team. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
