We have partnered with a major ICT and engineering business who develop and integrate a range of solutions for defence, they are looking to grow their team delivering a high-profile program with a high-profile agency with an Infrastructure Engineer hire. The Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement and sustain enterprise virtualisation, compute, backup and infrastructure management solutions which support national security environments. In This Role You Will Architect, deploy, configure, integrate and support enterprise virtualisation and infrastructure platforms, with hands-on work across VMware vCenter Server, ESXi hosts and HPE server and storage hardware.Deliver and operate Commvault services for backup, restoration, retention and data protection, and use VMware Aria (formerly vRealize) tooling to automate and orchestrate workflows, monitor systems and plan capacity.Oversee platform health, performance, capacity and uptime; diagnose and resolve complex incidents; and execute patching, upgrades, workload migrations and hardware or software lifecycle refreshes under formal change control.Enforce security hardening, access management and configuration standards, and produce and maintain accurate technical designs, build documentation, operational runbooks and configuration records. What's Needed From You You must have a TSPV security clearance active or reinstatable to be considered for this position, whilst als willing to go through further suitability checks.Experience designing implementing and supporting ICT infrastructure and virtualisation environments.Strong skills acros VMware vCenter and EXSi, Commvault storage, backup and recovery solutions, HPE server and storage technologies.Understanding of infrastructure security in defence and national security, including understanding of the Essential 8, ISM and PSPF/DSPF.
