Software QA Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications and data systems. This role involves both manual and automated testing, test documentation, and data validation, with close collaboration across engineering and business teams. This role follows a hybrid work model with 4 days remote and mandatory Friday in-office presence, including evening shift work on select days. Job Description: Job Specification: As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will: Thoroughly test individual feature updates, bug fixes, and user stories delivered by the development team prior to release.Perform automated testing across applicationsAuthor, review, and maintain comprehensive, clear test cases based on ticket requirements and user stories.Perform feature level manual testing to verify functionality and requirementsExecute functional, black box, white box, ad-hoc, exploratory, and smoke testingPlan and execute full manual regression test suites prior to every scheduled release to prevent software regressions and maintain platform stability.Collaborate with developers, product managers, and end users to understand feature requirements, reproduce issues, and validate solutionsConduct UI-based testing including click-through and workflow validationExecute data quality testing for reports and datasetsWrite and execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy, database changes, and backend consistency.Support performance testing initiatives (preferred skill)Use TestMo for test management and reportingMaintain and update bug reports, test status, and ticket progression using Shortcut (or similar agile project management tools).Actively liaise with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify ambiguous requirements, edge cases, or comments within project tickets.
