About The Role We're hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer to help shape the future of Hubstaff's cloud platform. This is a high-impact, fully remote role for an experienced infrastructure engineer who enjoys building secure, scalable, and highly automated systems. You'll partner with our CTO, architects, and engineering teams to improve reliability, security, developer experience, and platform scalability across our global SaaS platform. This isn't a traditional operations role. We're looking for someone who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges, automating everything possible, and building the internal platform that enables engineering teams to move faster. Qualifications Proven experience in building and operating production cloud infrastructure at scale using AWS; GCP experience is a plus.Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Helm, and modern GitOps practices.Hands-on experience with reliable CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar.Support experience with production PostgreSQL, Redis, and distributed systems.Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, or similar.Understanding of networking, IAM, encryption, disaster recovery, and cloud security best practices.Comfort supporting applications built with Ruby on Rails, Go, Rust, or Node.js.Passion for solving complex infrastructure problems through automation and ownership. Responsibilities Design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP environments.Develop and enhance Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud networking environments to ensure robustness and security.Standardize infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, and GitOps methodologies.Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and related tools to streamline development workflows.Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, and other observability tools.Strengthen platform security, disaster recovery plans, and overall resilience to ensure continuous service availability.Drive platform strategy while remaining actively involved in implementation and operational tasks.Enhance developer productivity by automating processes and creating self-service infrastructure solutions.
