Software, Data and AI Engineer

I am working with a rapidly growing technology business in Newcastle that continues to build its team of exceptional technical people across Software Engineering, Data, and AI. The business is backed by world-leading organisations across management consulting and alternative investment, and builds bespoke technology solutions for clients across banking and financial services, private capital and defence. You’ll be working on some genuinely interesting challenges across alternative investment, investment management, financial services and defence, using technology to solve complex problems for some highly sophisticated clients. The variety of work means there is plenty of scope to learn, take ownership and work on problems that are genuinely different from one project to the next. You’ll work closely with clients, business users and other technical specialists, with plenty of autonomy and ownership. The focus is on understanding the problem, finding the right solution and seeing it through to delivery. They are considering people at all stages of their careers, from those earlier in their development through to more experienced engineers and technical specialists. What matters most is strong technical ability, curiosity and a genuine interest in solving complex problems. They are particularly interested in people with experience across: Software Engineering, including C#, C++, Java and PythonData Engineering and building data-driven applications and services AI and emerging technologiesAPIs, web applications and modern software developmentSQL, data modelling and working with complex datasetsFinancial markets, trading or other technically demanding environments You’ll need strong technical ability, good communication skills and genuine curiosity around technology. Financial Services experience would be useful but isn't essential.
