Senior AI Solutions Engineer - Wealth Management

You are the first AI hire at a long-standing, respected wealth manager, with the scope to shape how the firm thinks about and builds with AI from the ground up. This firm have been managing the wealth of high-net-worth individuals since 1946. FCA-regulated, London-headquartered, and around 400 people strong across the UK, this is a firm with real heritage and a reputation that carries weight. We have already placed engineers into their network, security, infrastructure and client technology teams, so you are joining a place with a proven track record of looking after technical talent. This is a greenfield role. You are doing architecture and design work alongside hands-on engineering, which means you get the strategic side without losing touch with the craft. All the technical decision-makers sit in London, so things move quickly and there is far less red tape than you would find in a larger institution. You are in the Liverpool Street office three days a week, surrounded by a strong and experienced tech team you can genuinely bounce ideas off. The tenure here speaks for itself. The current head of IT joined as an individual contributor engineer and stepped into that role after ten years. People stay because they are given real ownership and real impact. On the technical side, you bring advanced Python, strong REST API and JSON integration experience, and hands-on generative AI delivery. You have worked with agentic AI and RAG at an advanced level, understand AI evaluation for non-deterministic systems, and are comfortable on Azure, including Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI. You understand identity, auth, RBAC and privacy-by-design, and you have delivered in regulated financial services before.
