Senior Cyber Security DevOps Specialist Help engineering teams build security into the way they work. IQ Staffing is looking for a Senior Cyber Security DevOps Specialist for a major bank. You will connect the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO) with DevOps teams, turning security requirements into practical guidance that engineers can apply. This role combines technical security expertise with advisory, stakeholder management and change. You will work with developers, architects and senior management to address security gaps, improve secure delivery practices and strengthen security maturity across the organisation. You will join the CISO DevOps Security team, which drives Security by Design across the bank. The team defines security guardrails, conducts spot checks and helps engineering teams embed security early in the software development lifecycle. Around 80% of your work will focus on security enablement and advisory. You will lead conversations, challenge decisions and help teams make measurable improvements. This position does not involve hands-on application or software development. What you will do Work with DevOps teams to identify, prioritise and address security gaps.Advise engineers and architects on secure development practices and security decisions.Support the adoption of secure coding standards and security guardrails.Translate complex security risks into clear actions for technical and business stakeholders.Bring developer feedback into security initiatives to improve guidance and the developer experience.Lead discussions and working groups, influencing change without formal authority.Help teams improve their security maturity and adherence to Security by Design. What you bring At least 10 years of experience across cybersecurity, IT, risk management or banking.A strong understanding of software development, DevOps practices and secure software delivery.Deep cybersecurity knowledge and the ability to connect risks with architecture decisions and day-to-day engineering practices.Experience turning security requirements into practical, actionable advice.Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with engineers, architects and senior management.The ability to challenge constructively and gain support in a complex organisation.Professional proficiency in English.Experience in regulated financial services is highly desirable.
