About the OPPORTUNITY: BAE Systems Hawk Lead-In-Fighter program is current hiring qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers across Mechanical, Avionics, Structures & Armament trades, to support with the ongoing sustainment and capability growth based in Williamtown NSW. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on the program, you will report to a Team Leader and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with authorised technical data and regulatory standards. Mechanical: Responsible for hydraulic, environmental, pneumatic and propulsion systems, related system components and propellers at a standard to meet all regulatory and airworthiness requirements. Avionics: Fault diagnosis and maintenance of avionics systemsElectrical and integrated aircraft systemsCompliance with technical publications and certification requirements Structures: Production, maintenance and sheet metal repairComposite and bonded structure repairsStructural modifications and inspections Armament: Maintain the emergency escape system, egress systems and aircraft weapon systems from the computers on board to the stores the aircraft carriesLoad and handle various aircraft and stores About YOU Certificate IV in Aeroskills trade or equivalent (Mandatory)Australian Citizenship (Mandatory)Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance and ITAR (Mandatory)Strong attention to detail and compliance mindsetAbility to work in high-performance team environments Application Requirements & Clearances Equivalent aircraft maintenance trade qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending how it aligns to the current Certificate IV in Aeroskills apprenticeship training standard. Please note, as a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances: further information regarding security clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
