The Laptops and Tablets Infrastructure is focused on ensuring that the full end-to-end infrastructure needs of ChromeOS are met including developers developing and submitting code, continuous integration testing against a test lab of thousands of hardware devices, regular and frequent releases of signed OS updates to millions of users, and internal and partner-facing workflows supporting the bring-up and launch of new Chromebooks and new Googlebooks scheduled to launch later in 2026. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
