The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Programme & Project Management (PPM) business in either Manchester or Liverpool. Our PPM function works with clients across numerous industries, providing talented teams of Programme and Project Managers who support projects throughout the whole project or programme lifecycle. We have been experiencing significant demand for programme and project management and delivery partner roles across the UK. This has involved a range of major infrastructure and building estate programmes, strategy development and city-wide transformation programmes including net zero commissions.We work hand in hand with Arup’s entire range of technical experts to add value at every stage of a project, asset, or investment lifecycle. We are looking for someone who would help support major project delivery and business development activities for our clients in the infrastructure sector. You will lead the management and oversight of all aspects of project and programme delivery, representing Arup as the day-to-day project manager on a diverse range of projects. The successful individual will have a proven track record in building long lasting client relationships, developing targeted propositions and winning work. You will have the ability to advise Arup’s clients on project delivery strategy, leading project teams to deliver work to a high standard of client satisfaction. You will also have proven capability in successful programme and project management services of complex-built environment programmes across key sectors (energy, water, transport), during their development and delivery phases. We Are Looking For Aspirational Project Professionals Who Have Degree in engineering, architecture or project/construction management (or similar) and professional accreditation/certification such as APM (or similar) in the PPM environment.Experience of developing new client relationships, identifying opportunities and winning new project work. Customer focused with client relationship management skills, including the ability to understand client requirements and bring together different Arup capabilities to develop a solution. Understands and has experience in deploying various forms of construction contract, in particular NEC3 or 4 and/or bespoke forms of contract.Experience working on politically complex programmes, having the right combination of skills that show respect, humility and understanding of client organisations and the political and organisational sensitivities involved. Skilled in implementing and utilising digital tools and systems in the delivery of complex programmes across a broad range of project management disciplines.
