Role Overview
Cogency is seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with 8+ years of experience to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise across Java, Spring Boot, microservices, modern frontend frameworks, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications.Develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.Build modern frontend applications using Angular, React, or similar frameworks.Design and integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise services.Develop database solutions using SQL and relational databases.Perform application modernization, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Implement unit, integration, and automated testing.Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, estimation, technical design, and delivery activities.Support CI/CD, automated deployments, production releases, and troubleshooting.Follow enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, and coding practices.
Required Skills
8+ years of professional software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, preferably Java 11/17/21.Expert-level experience with Spring Boot and microservices.Strong frontend development experience with Angular, React, or equivalent.Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST APIs.Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms.Strong understanding of software design patterns, application architecture, and development best practices.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
