As a Senior WordPress Full Stack Developer: You have experience working on large, scalable projectsYou are able to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues about technical and non-technical issuesYou provide strategic advice to project stakeholders and work collaboratively with other departments and teamsYou can translate client requirements into technical approaches while considering scope and budgetYou are a keen problem-solver and an active participant in strategic discussions within the teamYou take pride in your work, delivering successful projects through clear communication, organization, and high-quality code Responsibilities: Architecting complex custom WordPress solutionsAdhering and implementing WordPress coding standards and best practicesTroubleshooting urgent issuesCollaborating with project managers and development teamProviding actionable feedback to managers and teammatesEstimating level of effort for project tasksCommunicate with clients to gather requirements and the best way to implement Requirements: 5+ years hands on WordPress development at an agency level3+ years working with WooCommerceKnowledge of dev ops tools such as GitHub Actions, Composer, or Buddy WorksExperience hosting providers such as WP Engine, WP VIP, Pantheon, AWSAbility to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders including clients and 3rd party vendorsPerforming code reviews for peers and giving constructive feedbackIntegrating external services including payment processors, membership software, CRMs, Single Sign OnAbility to manage development budget on a project Nice to Have: Agile and scrum experienceCreating headless WordPress - including Next.JS or ReactContributing to Open-Source projects - including WordPressWorking with Gutenberg and custom blocksExperience mentoring and leading a teamExperience working within an agencyExperience using ComposerExperience using AI tools Americaneagle.com provides its employees with an energetic work environment and opportunities to further develop their skills.
