The SoC Vendor, and it's development team, has the role of the Tier1b according to the Software Force way of working. Along with development this implies other tasks such as bug triage and build failure duties among others. In the scope of the project Luxoft engineers, together with SoC Vendor will collaborate with various suppliers in the OEM ecosystem. In this project ecosystem the role of SoC Vendor is implications on providing support to the OEM's feature development teams, as well as provide technical assets in the scope of BSP and Multimedia. Furthermore the SoC Vendor's team is responsible to triage and address bugs reported to them from other feature teams and the OEM / T1 testing department. Responsibilities This role provides a significant growth opportunity for engineers aspiring to become customer-facing technical experts. The successful candidate will deepen their expertise in automotive audio technologies, including Audio HAL integration, DSP-based audio processing, TDM/I2S interfaces, audio routing and calibration, amplifier and codec bring-up, low-power audio use cases, and end-to-end audio system debugging on Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive platforms. While software development will not be a primary responsibility of the role, a strong development and debugging background is a key differentiator, enabling the candidate to provide expert technical guidance, drive complex root-cause analysis, and become a trusted advisor to OEM and Tier1 customers throughout product development and market introduction. Some examples are: Provide direct technical support to automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers for integration, customization, validation, and troubleshooting of multimedia and audio solutions across Android, Linux, and QNX platformsAnalyze and resolve complex customer issues involving Audio HAL, PAL, AWE-Q, Audio Reach, PulseAudio, TinyALSA, ADSP, and AVB/EAVB audio frameworksSupport customer bring-up and feature enablement for audio use cases such as tuner, Bluetooth audio, voice processing, multizone audio, and low-latency audio streaming. Work closely with internal engineering teams and customers to drive issue resolution, software integration, performance optimization, and successful product launches.Conduct technical workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and provide implementation guidance to accelerate customer adoption of Qualcomm audio technologies and frameworks.Create technical documentation, integration guidelines, debug reports, and best practices to support customer development and deployment activities Skills Must have C/C++ and PythonLinux/Android kernel and audio driversAndroid Audio Framework / Audio HALAudio DSP / Qualcomm DSP knowledgeAudio interfaces (I2S, TDM, SoundWire, USB, HDMI)Strong debugging skills Nice to have Skills Embedded SoftwareToolchain knowledge (Qt, Unity, etc.)Memory ManagementPerformance profilingHMI Framework Languages: English - C1 Fluent
