Senior Robotics Simulation Engineer

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SENIOR ROBOTICS SIMULATION ENGINEER (ROS 2 / GAZEBO) We are looking for a senior engineer to make robotics simulation a practical part of software development and testing. You will work on an existing ROS 2 and Gazebo environment, turning simulation scenarios into repeatable tests with clear outcomes and useful evidence. You will collaborate with software engineers working on automation, test execution and reporting. The work starts with the current simulation setup and can later expand to NVIDIA Isaac Sim and more complex scenarios. What You Will Do Run, debug and extend an existing ROS 2/Gazebo simulationIntegrate autonomy and control software with simulated vehicles and sensorsDevelop scenarios involving one or more independently controlled machinesDefine measurable behaviour and help implement automated validation checksInvestigate whether failures come from the software, scenario or simulation modelAssess what level of vehicle and sensor fidelity each test requiresMake scenarios reproducible and suitable for automated executionHelp plan the next steps for a broader simulation and validation environment WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Hands-on experience developing or integrating software with ROS 2 and GazeboExperience with mobile robotics, autonomous vehicles or machine controlStrong C++ or Python skillsConfidence developing and debugging in LinuxExperience creating simulation scenarios or tests with measurable outcomesAbility to take ownership of technical work and collaborate across engineering disciplinesClear communication in English Considered An Advantage NVIDIA Isaac Sim or Omniverse experienceNavigation, localisation, perception or sensor simulationVehicle dynamicsDocker, CI/CD or automated testingExperience comparing simulation behaviour with physical-system behaviour
