About TENVA
TENVA is an Australian company building an AI-assisted evidence platform for frontline teams.
We connect field capture, evidence management, transcription, redaction, human review and disclosure.
Our AI capabilities are in active development.
We are based in Sydney and currently pre-launch.
The role
Help build the software and AI workflows behind TENVA.
We are looking for a software engineer who can turn models, tools and data into reliable systems, use AI effectively in their own development workflow, and take ownership of practical engineering problems.
What you will work on
• Implement AI-assisted transcription and redaction workflows with human review.
• Build reusable skills and agent harnesses that manage context, tool access, state, retries and human oversight.
• Integrate models and services through well-designed APIs and data pipelines.
• Develop evaluations, logging and tests that make quality, failure cases, latency and cost visible.
• Work on the application services around evidence ingestion, storage, search, provenance and audit trails.
• Make clear engineering decisions about security, permissions and the handling of sensitive footage.
What we are looking for
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building working applications or services.
• Practical experience with AI coding tools, model APIs and tool-using workflows.
• Ability to design and debug a harness around an AI workflow, including evaluations and recovery when a model or tool fails.
• Ability to create reusable skills and explain where automation needs a human checkpoint.
• Curiosity, clear communication and the ability to learn an unfamiliar domain.
Relevant projects can come from employment, independent work or open-source contributions.
Experience in evidence management, cameras or frontline operations is a bonus; we welcome engineers from other industries.
