Freelance Senior Cloud Platform Engineer | 6 Month Contract 📍 Amsterdam | Hybrid, 2 days onsite 💶 Rate (TBC) ☁️ Multi cloud platform | Azure, AWS and OpenStack 📅 6 months We're looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to own compute image strategy across a multi cloud estate. You'll set how images are built, validated, governed and adopted, and lead the move to validated ARM64 images alongside the existing x86_64 estate. What you'll do Define and own the compute image strategy across Azure, AWS and OpenStackRun the image lifecycle through Azure Compute Gallery and the AWS EC2 AMI registryLead ARM64 validation alongside the existing x86_64 estateDesign the image governance model using Azure Policy and AWS control policiesBuild security baselines into Ubuntu and AlmaLinux imagesGuide engineering teams on adopting approved images and ARM64 What you'll need 8+ years in cloud engineeringHands on experience with Azure, AWS and OpenStack platform servicesProven compute image lifecycle managementExperience across ARM64 and x86_64 architecturesTrack record of setting strategy and governance, not only delivering against it Nice to have: experience leading an ARM64 migration or validation programme at scale.
